Dear patients,
Please be advised that commencing 8 April 2024, gpmaroubra will have a small increase to our fees and are still no longer able to bulk bill any of our patients.
TO OUR CENTRELINK CONSESSION CARD HOLDERS: A small gap fee of approximately $20 will apply to all consultations, with the remainder of the fee being reimbursed back into your bank account from Medicare (normally within 4 hours of your consultation).
Short consultation = $62 (rebate of $41.40 – gap fee of $20.60)
Medium consultation = $101 (rebate of $80.10 – gap fee of $20.90)
Long consultation = $138 (rebate of $118.00 – gap fee of $20.00)
TO OUR PARENTS WITH CHILDREN: Our standard consult fees will now apply to all child consultations. Please speak to reception if you would like fee information and rebate amounts from Medicare.
CHILDHOOD IMMUNISATIONS: Will now incur a consult fee. Our standard fees will apply for these visits.
All 6-week-old immunisations will require a longer appointment and incur a fee of $177 (with a Medicare rebate of $80.10).
All other immunisation appointments;
- If you are booking in for an immunisation only for your child then a standard fee of $101 will apply (with a Medicare rebate of $41.40)
- If you would like to speak to the doctor about any other issues/concerns outside of the immunisation, a longer appointment will be required and a fee of $177 will be applied (with a Medicare rebate of $80.10)
When booking a new consultation with one of our contract doctors, there will be a 50% deposit taken at the time of booking. This will go towards the appointment cost on the day. Please note: if you fail to attend the appointment or if cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the appointment time, this deposit will not be refunded.
Our contract doctors have graciously been able to offer a free comprehensive service to our pension card holders since our practice opened over 10 years ago however as the Medicare subsidy for this has remained low this amount no longer covers the costs to keep the practice up and running.
